During the daylight the golden jellies follow the sun from one side of the lake to the other and at night they go deeper where there is a high level of nitrogen that the feeds the algae.
Despite their delicate appearance, the jellyfish of Jellyfish Lake possess a surprising resilience. Devoid of predators in their isolated sanctuary, these gelatinous creatures have lost their stinging cells, rendering them harmless to all but the most sensitive skin.
